Friday, March 27 | 16:00 – 21:00 at Porfot.
In My Dream, America, ily?, artist Lucas Buendía deconstructs the "American Dream." Positioning himself as an insider-outsider, he explores whether iconic national symbols still hold ideological power or if they simply mask incomplete narratives.
Drawing from the Neo-Dada movement, Buendía reinterprets themes of freedom, race, and justice by fusing Americana with industrial waste like steel, plastic, and cardboard. The result is a raw, shifting portrait of an America that remains difficult to grasp.
You are cordially invited to join us for the opening. Following the exhibition, we will host our traditional afterparty at Café Hensepeter, starting at 21:00.
We hope to see you there!
